Job Summary:

A key role within the Financial Crime Risk Team, focusing on conducting financial crime compliance monitoring and risk assessments, ensuring that the Bank is compliant with its legal and regulatory obligations and has appropriate systems and controls in place to mitigate all relevant financial crime risks.

Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities:

  • Conduct financial crime risk assessments including annual firm-wide, product, country risk assessments etc.
  • Undertake Financial Crime compliance monitoring testing, including thematic reviews as part of the annual compliance monitoring programme
  • Draft reports and produce management information covering the output of compliance monitoring and risk assessments for senior management and Board committees
  • Liaise with stakeholders within the bank to compile data for monitoring
  • Investigate and report any suspected breach of applicable, laws, regulations and standards.
  • Monitoring and reporting on compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards.
  • Support the broader Financial Crime Risk Team with key deliverables, as required

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Financial Crime Monitoring and Assurance experience essential
  • Financial Crime Risk Assessment experience essential
  • Financial Crime Risk Advisory experience preferable
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ICA AML Diploma, AFB Financial Crime Diploma etc.)
  • Wide-ranging Financial Crime regulatory awareness and a strong horizon-scanner
  • A good understanding of Trade Finance products
  • Able to work independently
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Excel Skills desirable
  • Previous MENA market experience preferable
